Q. lets you compare prices between many international booksellers but international shipping is often quite slow. Does anyone know of a similar service that just searches Australian booksellers like Dymocks, A&R, Collins etc?

A. Unfortunately I see very little good customer service these days. Perhaps we'll see more of it with the recession now and people needing their jobs. I believe that cashiers and salespeople should be polite, helpful and keep in mind that customers pay their salaries. A smile is always nice! I've had unbelievable rudeness from cashiers. Many don't like large orders going through the line and if you have coupons they sigh or roll their eyes. I think they should be fired for this kind of behavior. I would pay more to go to a store with good customer service. I avoid some stores because of the rudeness of the cashiers.

Also see if you pay him cash at the time of service if he'll give you a discount--quite a few docs take 30-50% off for that as insurance is low and slow pay usually and the paperwork costs are enormous. Consider looking for things like lab work via grocery stores, drug stores, and Walmart. Kid you not. In Arizona, we have two chains of groceries that do that--Bashas and Fry's. Q. My husband and I are planning a trip to England this summer and we are looking into taking some excursion trips from London to Stratford Upon Avon and Bath. I've been pricing the rail trips for this on National Rail and in comparison to what we pay for train service in the Netherlands the prices are insane. Q. Hunting around for car insurance, and could just go with the cheapest on a money comparison list - but is that the best option ? Is the price based on size etc...animal per day?.Just trying to do a comparison on what it would have cost the client had she used kenneling services...I kept watch over 6 dogs , at their home, their food etc... for 3 nights and 3 days. I made 10 total trips, 8 roundtrip miles. Stayed with them sometimes 2-3 hours for play and companionship. Dont need the: "you should have agreed on a price before hand" spill, she will pay me what I ask. Thanks ! : )

Q. I have depression and as a member of Kaiser I pay $25 for dr. visits and therapy and very reasonable prices for meds. Some group therapy is free. But we may be moving (Texas) and will have to change providers. I have been with Kaiser so long I don't even KNOW how other plans work. Any comparisons?

Q. I was in Charlotte, NC (Mecklenburg) for a week and I loved it. The homes were in sub communities at a reasonable price. In comparison to NYC the pace was much slower and the people just seem genuine. I work in the financial services industry and I feel confidant that finding a job in my field would not be a problem. Choosing the right Broadband?
Q. Ok im currently on AOL Broadband Cable 256k. I havent had any problems and iv been with AOL for 7 years now. I've been looking at broadband comparison sites for the UK for a while now because I don't think AOL's prices are good for value. I pay something like 17.99 for 256k broadband. Im sure that is expensive. I want a high bandwidth broadband, something at least 512k, i prefer 2mb to be honest. Can someone please tell me a good UK internet service provider with good prices and services. Thanks. ps i heard o2 are pretty decent, any1 advise that?

A. Well I'm using BT and it seems quite reasonable. It's up to 8Mb/s, unlimited broadband, we get around 3.4Mb/s . I believe we pay something like 26 a month for that package, you can get other ones. But if you wanted a cheaper provider, there should be many available. Tiscali for example probably don't do a bad job from what some of my friends have said.

Verizon Fios TV/Internet vs. Comcast Digital Cable/Internet?
Q. My Comcast bill just went up an extra 50 dollars (at 150 right now) and I'm considering switching over to Verizon for both TV and internet service. But, naturally, I don't want to do so and find out that I'm downgrading. So basically, what I need is an HD-Dual Tuner DVR box, as many channels (or more of course) than what CDC offers (I don't order HBO or Showtime or any of the add-ons like that), what's the On Demand like, and how fast is the internet service in comparison to Comcast's (which I've had no problems with ever since I got it)? If the price for Verizon is cheaper, but I have to sacrifice not having an HD-Dual Tuner DVR...or the internet service is shoddy...or I don't get the channels I'm used to...or the On Demand is… [cont.]
